Meet the Shermans
TDS Home Inspection is a local, family-owned home inspection company serving Morgantown and North Central West Virginia. Owner and inspector Tyler Sherman spent his college years building timber homes, then seven years as a manager at 84 Lumber and seven more in the oil and gas industry before starting TDS. He wanted a business that let him spend more time with the people who matter most, and he brings that same family-first attitude to every client.
Becoming a home inspector has let Tyler and his wife Sarah, whom he proudly calls his best friend and the love of his life, watch their boys Brooks and Maverick grow up. Tyler comes from a family that showed him what family should be, and he treats every client the same way.

Tyler is no stranger to hard work. In college he spent his time building timber homes, then worked his way up to manager at 84 Lumber, where he spent seven years. After seven more years in the gas and oil industry, he started TDS so he could build something of his own and have more time for the ones who matter most. That hands-on construction experience shows up in every inspection: he knows how a house is supposed to go together, and he can spot when it didn't.
